Aloha and Mahalo!

These cakes were made for an  end-of-the-year Luau themed party at one of our fabulous, local pre-schools!  The cakes were made to look like Hawaiin shirts - aka something someone might wear to a Luau or on a tropical holiday.  The cakes are carved from sheet cakes.  They are vanilla flavor, with white chocolate ganache and vanilla butttercream.  They are handpainted with food coloring and accented with fondant :)

Tangled Tower

This cake was made for two special little sisters celebrating their Birthday together!  They both love the movie Tangled (well, who doesn't??) and wanted a cake with the Tangled Tower theme to celebrate the occasion.   The cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream.  Tower is krispy treats covered in fondant with fondant flowers and royal icing vines.  Everything is edible on the cake except for a tower post in the center and the characters :).

May the Force be with you!

This cake was made for a special boy celebrating his 5th Birthday!  I made the cake to match the colors on the invitation, in a Star Wars theme, as per the Birthday Boys request.  This is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream - Death Star is a krispy treat covered in Fondant and everything else is fondant decoration, including the Storm Trooper.  (Which happened to take a nose dive off of the cake during delivery and had to be rushed back to my house for emergency surgery/repair) :)) Never a dull moment when you are working in a humid climate with fondant!

School Birthday treats for my little Paleontologist!

These cookies were made for school treats for one of the world's biggest Dinosaur fans!  My son loves Dinosaurs and even though he has a summer Birthday, he gets to bring in treats to school before year-end to celebrate with his friends!!

C is for Cookie....and Cake too!

This cake was made for a sweet girl celebrating birthday number 2.  She really loves the Cookie Monster and Mom wanted to keep the cake feminine.  We decided to match the pink swirls and bow to the birthday party invites and put Cookie Monster on top.   This is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and krispy treat Cookie Monster.
